Article | Measurement of cigarette butt litter accumulation within city bus shelters

This new New Zealand study on cigarette butt accumulation in bus shelters & at bus stops – provides a method for evaluating such settings when they become smokefree. It also highlights the ongoing litter problem from smoking in outdoor NZ settings (since most smokers in these settings litter their butts).
