Dr El-Shadan Tautolo
El-Shadan is Associate Director of the Pacific Islands Families (PIF) Study at AUT University, a longitudinal birth cohort study of 1398 Pacific fathers, mothers, and their children, established in year 2000.
He is also currently completing an HRC Postdoctoral Fellowship investigating Pacific fatherhood and the health of Pacific fathers.
Other research interests to date have included tobacco control research with a focus on cessation messages, harm reduction, and policy work concerning Pacific communities. He is of Samoan and Cook Islands heritage, and is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of all Pacific communities in NZ.
